Exclamation *help* possible fuel cut out in MR

i have a 2006 evo mr with a couple bolt on modifications such as
megan turbo back exhaust
down pipe
o2 housing
upper and lower intercooler piping
injen intake
greddy type RS blow off

so now my problem is,
when i full throttle it, it pulls very hard until i hit 6,000 or just below 6,000RPM
and then it just feels like i hit the redline but i still have another 1,000 rpms to go...
it didnt do this when the car was stock. it just recently started happening when i put all the modifications on.
im thinking its a fuel cut out but thats only a guess.

also it doesnt do that when i just ease into the high RPMS... i can ease it into Redline and not have any problems. its only when i full throttle it.

so what my question is, what exactly is going on and how would i go about fixing the problem?

thanks for the help.

Have you had it tuned for the mods?

the bov is recirculating and I'm aware at this point that I need a tune. But, do i need anything such as an upgraded waste gate or a fuel pump as well? or maybe even a boost controller for over boost? Once again all help is appreciated since I have had this issue for months.

Contact Chris at Mellon tuning, he is a vendor on this forum. Also I would highly recommend a Walbro or similar fuel pump upgrade just to make sure you don't run into a fuel volume issue as you continue your trip up the Mod road!

www.mellontuning.com

Package A or B would be fine for you for now.

Hope this helps

Josh

ok great, do you have one of his tunes? Happy with it? And is the fuel pump a necessity at this time or just a good idea?

Yes, I couldn't be happier. As far as the fuel pump, I think its cheaper to put a $90 fuel pump in than a $3000 engine rebuild for detonation that could result from running to lean because you don't have enough fuel. Chris at Mellon will gladly tune you to a safe point without it but I am sure it would be better to have it.
