Really I don't see the point of swapping a mild cam for a mild cam. If your going to swap cams atleast do S2 or Cosworth M2. I have the HKS Mivec 272s (numbers are in my sig) and when I do swap cams which will be a long time from now it will be either the S2 or M2 w/ upgraded valvetrain.

If you don't want to lose spool and make power the entire band go with the Buschur BF272! They are the best that works well like Jun 272's on stock head.

This test is not about what is the best cam but rather a very nice guideline on what is the best cam for "your application"

This thread will help you decide. Take note that the head is not stock on the test.

the evo 9 S1 cam has more lift than the hks 272 mivec and im sure it has a longer 1mm duration. so the total duration might be shorter but what you get is quick response and low/mid and power which is what you want for the road course.
