HO alternator yes or no

So i am building my car now and the motor was out and i was wondering if i should get a HO alternator, so i would like to know who is running them and why. I don't have a big sound system but i do have a high revving 2L with a 37r. I know Buschur did a post about his but i couldn't find it.

Without additional amperage requirements by the electrical system I REALLY don't see how this would help.

pm dave (buschur) and he will tell u exactly how it helps, the HO alt gives the fuel pump more voltage thus lower injector duty cyc and more fuel to play with while tuning. thats just one of the benefits of having a HO alt

You could have done that by running a direct wire to the pump instead of through the relay bumping the voltage from 12 to 14.
