whats the best spark plug to get?

what plug and gap is good for the 8 i have 60k on my car should i replace the wires on it also or are they pretty durable???

i use the ngk bpr7eix. there a step colder plug. gap at .023. i also run hks dli2 ignition amp for extra juice for the higher rpm.

LOL Yeah I was thinking that same thing!! There are some huge threads on spark plug change.

BTW, No need to go a step colder plug unless you're heavily modded.

yeah and you are modded, then I say change them more often than 30k. Play it safe.

just switched mine out for densos. car is running good. my factory ngk's were burnt bad

if your not boosting higher than stock then use the stock replacements or the denso IKH22. my tuner told me denso products run good with the evo.

Even though you can get the plugs pregapped it's always a good idea to check them before install.

i pulled one out today to see how they looked and it was a little dark and it smelt like gas! it that normal for 16K miles?

To the OP i see your tuned and running 330's. To me the old rule of 100hp gain = 1 step colder plugs. You should be running a 1 step colder iridium plug, you can get them from ExtremePSI and yes they cost more but the old "rules" don't lie!

So what is the recommeded plug for an Evo 8 with bolts on? Is it BR8EIX (Iridium) or the BPR8ES (Copper)?
