Drivers door wear
It's widely noticed that the arm rest on the door is very uncomfortable. Has anyone else noticed though that the black material is starting to wear already? I've only got 3100 miles on her and it has a slight worn look.
I think some vendors should make an entire replacement kit for this in carbon fiber. If it's going to be uncomfortable it might as well look good to. The CF might not wear either like this cheap 'fuzzy' stuff does.
What do you guys think?

i have never used the door arm rest..... also its not meant to be a luxury interior its ment to hold your *** in place while you drive the car.... my center arm rest kinda has that look but it doesnt bother me much with the dark tint....
hmm, i think it is comfortable... ? Maybe I have been driving all the wrong cars in the past, since I seem to think the evo is pretty damn comfortable. almost 8k miles, havn't noticed any wear .. maybe cuz usually both hands are on the steering will, ripping through the mountains? But it does look like that mouse fur will wear out pretty quickly, so a replacement, maybe with a little padding? might not be a bad idea... just a little padding, like the console arm rest.

some cushion would be nice, but i don't drive her daily. just concerned about it wearing already. a nice CF piece would look good. it's uncomfortable now so the CF can't hurt.
i'm a tall guy with long arms and my elbows have to go somewhere. it never really bothered me until I had to drive a few hours to get to a road course. my elbow was killing me by the time i got there. but that is no matter to me, just that worn look.

dang you mods are ruthless. this isn't a troubleshooting thread, but a suggestion to vendors to make a product. if i was having a problem i would have worded it "how do i fix this?"
I find it reasonably comfortable, I rest my arm there all the time. But if there was a nice padded option, I'd be interested too. I definitely wouldn't get carbon fiber or something else hard though. But when it starts wearing, I'm gonna want to replace it.
Seriously though, this isn't a troubleshooting thread

Someone does make carbon fiber door panels for both the front and rear. I just can't think of who it is right now. I was just looking at them the other day.
They were pretty pricey if I recall. I'll check around and see If I can come up with the link.

...... I think I did notice the poor fit/hard surface when I was messing around the car, but since it's not really used much, I have not paid much attention to it. I really don't know of any way to make it better that will not cost a good bit of $$ and time.... Otherwise it's gonna look ghetto as hell....
