i Hate My Evo! help me!
the wire from the alternator to the battery keeps coming off the alternator. ill have to fly home and jack the car and try to krimp the wire back on the alternator. this probelm has happened like 8 times and sucks really bad. tonight i was with my gf on way to dinner and it happened. she didnt understand when i told her i have ten mins to get home beofre my car dies. had to drop her off go home and fix it again. but i gave up and went to bed.
has anyone else ever had this problem? or know a way i can fix it? ive tried everything. eletrical tape a neew connecter etc. please help?

you are talking about the wire with the ring connector right? Did you try soldering it on? Maybe if you cover the wire with flux, crimp it in place and then solder it maybe that will hold. just throwing out ideas.

but yea thats what happens.but i fixed it today krimped it really good and taped it up hopefully it holds

This is very unusuial. I have never heard of it. Most likely the car was getting serviced and a mechanic pulled on the wire with a wrench or something and messed up the connection. These things are not from the factory, someone laid a hand in this one, weather it was you, a mechanic or a guy tuning your car, but that is a human error, not the cars. Try going to Mits and see if they will cover this under warranty. If your car is out of warranty, try getting a new wire put in, if that is not possible, new alternator.
If it happens again Kev, drop it off and I will make sure it never happens again. I doubt we will have to replace the whole wiring to the alt. We may have to remove a couple things to get good access to it though. Sorry that your still having trouble with it. I will change the ring connector and try soldering as well.
