Ticking sound

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys had any ideas what this noise could be. I didn't notice it before because I had the radio on or never really payed attention to it until today. whenever I accelerate I hear a very faint ticking sound coming from the front of the car. I bought the car used from a dealer and the car does have some mods. the car was actually owned by a member on this forum named JuancaRod. the car has no check engine lights and here's what the car has for mods. Currently its peaking at 23 psi of boost in 3rd gear.

Full 3" turbo back exhaust (including DP and cat removed)
CEL fix (electronic, under passenger seat)
APS dual stage BOV
Forge Unos MBC
Apexi CAI
Dynoflash (Al) flash
Cross drilled/slotted rotors
Gramlights 18x8.5 +33 wheels
Rays aluminum lug nuts
Vortex generator
20% tinted windows
White fog lights
Apexi boost controller
Kartboy short throw shifter
Momo shift knob
Run new amp, speaker, and line-out cables
Replaced all speakers with Polk-Momo (components at front, coaxial at rear)
Crossovers are installed under driver seat
Clifford RSX3.5 alarm
Oil change every 3,000 miles (always Mobil 1)

Did you say you have a Forge MBC and an Apexi boost controller? Which is it? If you have an electronic boost controller, it's normal for those to tick during acceleration. You probably would not hear this with the radio on.

hmm, I didn't think injectors made a sound like that. if it is either one of those 2 things is it anything that could harm the motor?

Try bleeding your lifters if you know how.

I would check for Rod Knock since this is under load and not at idle. Not sure how far you are from TTP (Scot), but you might want to have the tune checked as well.

well I know at idle the car makes that ticking sound, but the noise I'm talking about is even more faint than that. The car runs fine it doesn't feel like it has any problems and it doesn't have a CEL.

Rod knock typically occurs "off-load".

Let us know if you would like us to look over the car for you.
