So if you all had a choice between GT3076R (57mm) Kit and a just upgrading to a Red or green you wouldn't take the kit? And why not?

Southwest City, Miami, Seneca, Joplin were my stomping grounds. I'm not sure you need an entire kit. Stock appearing options will now get you there. Good luck.
Nice! I've been to grove many times. I go jeeping in disney and go to the lake often in grove. I'm not really worried about a "stock" appearance. I just want the power there all the time without meth. I will never use race gas. Well never say never bc if I do get a tune for it I'm sure I'll manage to find some. Lol. And a red is already basically half the price of a kit.....

The GT3076 is a great turbo, it just may be overkill for what you want.

That's a no-brainer, IMO. Go with the bolt-on option. Either Green or Red, depending on if you want to go after more topend power (red) or keep faster spoolup (green). The GT kits are nice, but not worth the extra $$, IMO, for street use.

The only place I have found a review on a red turbo is bushurs.... It is a fully built car. And I don't see results where people run low 11's on 91 octane. Hell I don't care if my car ends up being faster. Is there a disadvantage to running the kit vs or red turbo? Besides $$...... Ahhhh! I just wish the red was out with some real results. I want a kit right now.

the Red is a bolt-on turbo. IMO anytime you can reduce the complexity of your mods and still meet your power goals, you should take the simpler route. In this case the simpler route is also the cheaper route ... again, I don't see what the difficulty is in deciding here. If you were willing to live with something like the ETS 61 trim, then the FP Red would be what I'd be looking at. With the $$ saved, I'd then look at getting your intake manifold ported by Wilson (f.k.a. Indy Evo Intake - available through Buschur) ... probably a V0 or V1 at the most. At the same time I'd also get your TB ported to 65 mm by WOT (Aby@mil.spec). If you don't already have a good IC, I'd budget for that too (Buschur or AMS) and then you're just a good tune away from making fairly good power.

I was told by another I don't even need a full turbo kit, just to upgrade to an FPgreen. I would like a few more opinions if you don't mind. I've read on GT35R's and have came to no conclusion. Two people said 57trim turbo kit.

Mods on 2005 Evo VIII: Evo IX turbo, tubular exhaust mani, O2 housing, Twin disk exedy, 680cc injectors, Walbro 255, FMIC, LICP, UICP, BC 272s, Tial RS adj. BOV, Bushur Battery kit, TBE.

help me out!!
Im almost in the same boat. I had about 330WHP and ran a 12.6 with a 1.9 60 ft. Now I have 360 WHP and lost about 30-50LBS with me and the car. So I should be in the low 12s with new mods and better 60fts. I have 93 here so thats the difference betten me and you. I am thinking about the red for sure. I want to tap the 10.99 mark or very very low 11s. I dont know if this is possible with my mods though

Listen to your peers. You don't want to get owned on the track by a modified stock turbo.

Ludikraut is right on the money. To me your choice is really max a Green with meth, or tone it down a bit and run the RED and use the rest of the 'unused' kit money to upgrade the injectors, TB and Intake manifold. Remember, weight savings ultimately saves broken parts AND increases performance. Lighter battery, center engine support, etc. Those can be easily done by you and are reasonably cheap. No tuning required.

Ok so will the red have more lag compared to GT3076? This is my dd so what is my other options besides sending my stuff out to get ported.. Is there a good brand just to upgrade to? And what injectors does the Red require? Damn I kinda wish I could just ride in a car with one turbo vs the other.

So the red is going to love my pump gas and give me over 400whp and allow me to run great 1/4 miles? If I hit 10.99 I'm not going to be complaining.... Lol.
