How to tell 20g from 16g ?

Whats up guys I was curious as to how I would know the difference between the two ? I recently bought one used from the market place and was told it was a 20g with a buschur ported hotside. I just got it in today and just by looking at it seems like it is. I was more curious as to what the ingravings would say on the turbo compressor ? On my supposed 20g it says TD05HR-16G6C-10.5T. So either its a 20g or a 05 16g with the 10.5 HS.

Anyone have any clue as how to tell. I cant really put it up to my 16g in my 03 because its obviously in the car. Any ideas let me know.

Thanks guys

The Evogreen 20G and the stock IX have the same compressor housing, so even if it is a 20G it can still read TD05G6C-10.5T

There are probably more ways to tell, i just dont know of any

Evos don't come with 20g's. They all come with 16G.

There are 16g's with 20g wheels, like green. That's what you probably have. An older 6 blade 20g compressor wheel one, that didn't work too well. Post up a pic, ppl will tell you.

Alright thanks. I need to make an acc't on a image site.

Heres one for ya. Would all 8 16g's have the same barcode while 9 16g's have a slightly different one ? Because comparing my two only the last two digits are different all the rest is the same.

The VIII 16g has a smaller compressor housing and most have the 9.8 hotside, but some have the 10.5

Yah I think I got F*cked. Haven't taken a pic yet. Ill have to get it up but im pretty sure.

Mainly because just looking at it I can count 6 blades on the compressor wheel. That and the fact it doesnt look bigger then my 03 9.8 thats in there now. I was told originally that it was from a buschur 350 evo with a ported hot side. The hot side looks ported Ill know when I buy a gasket kit. It must be a 05 turbo because in the engraving it says 10.5H.

What ever either he didnt know himself or he pulled one over one me. Either way It'll either work fine or surge. If it surges I get a 10.5 ported hotside for me 03 and I needed the j pipe off of it.
