Wierd surge at full throttle
Wierd surge at full throttle
So over the last few months I've been experiencing wierd power surges at full throttle. I take off with the pedal mashed to the floor and at around 5k RPMs in every gear the engine feels like a brief loss of power for about .5 seconds. Kind of like a skip. I've checked all the lines and don't notice any leaks (vaccum lines, IC piping, BOV, WG) but it's rather hard to get my head under the hood at full boost and 5k RPMs going down the road.

Is this the Vishnu kit with the tube header or the one with the stock manifold and the adapter plate? What boost level does the cut happen at? What octane gas are you using? What is peakboost set at? Are you using the XEDE piggyback? Do you have any AFR logs? Did you try posting this on the Vishnu subforum(JK)? BTW, it's easier to climb under the hood at speed if you have a friend drive the car.

Stock mani, the mitsu boost guage is maxed out, 93 oct, boost is set at w/e Shiv set it at. I'm not sure if he put an xede on the car. I bought the car as is and the parts listing was incomplete. I was just curious if this was an easy to pinpoint problem or if i need to take it in and have it looked at.
You may be hitting fuel cut due to too much boost and too rich a fuel table. It probably has the XEDE piggyback which is located behind the glovebox. What size injectors are you running?
Either find someone in your area that can adjust your XEDE boost and fuel tables, or someone that'll Email you an XEDE map for a setup similar to yours. Or, set the XEDE tables to zero and have someone like Mellon flash the stock ECU for you.
Finally, you could just remove the XEDE and either have a local area tuner flash the ECU for you or have it tuned via Email flashes.
