because buschur doesnt like hks cam gears. i have bought alot of buschur products, and they are all great, but remember its your car, and you have the final say. ask them if they have any proof to back up that statement.

Loctite the adjustment bolts and you'll be fine. I've had my HKS ones on for quite some time.

i'll give buschur their props, they make great stuff, and like i said, i have a lot of buschur parts on my evo.

understand that the guys at buschur probably have tested many different products for their race applications. the HKS cam gears have only 3 locking screws, as opposed to its competitors which have 4 or even 5 locking screws.

logic would suggest that the more screws you have, the less chance of having timing issues by slipping the gear. but in my experience, HKS makes a good product, and they wouldnt market crap.

Buschur likes cam gears...as long as they are the stock units. AFAIK, they don't use adjustable aftermarket sprockets on any of the engines built in the BR shop. All Buschur Evo's run the cams straight up(0/0). That's why you won't find any listed on his website.

I think buschur would have said that about anyones cam gears, hes not a fan of having that failure point available for the minimal returns.
