Can i get away with just doing springs or do I need retainers as well?

 

If you're already going to be in there, do it all. The cams are the expensive part - springs and retainers are the least expensive of doing a camshaft upgrade.

Also, I hope you have more mods than what are listed in your signature.

 

well I'm just asking cause I have springs but if I don't need retainers I am going to use the money for the labor on install.

well you need a specific retainer for the springs so i wouldnt install the springs w/ stock retainers unless by chance they do fit but i still would get the correct retainers..

 

So Brian Crower retainers would work?

 

I run the BC 280s and use the crower ti retainers, works fine.

 

its not matching the retainers to the cams, the retainers have to be for the springs you are running. call whoever your springs are made by and get the retainers for them.
