Boost leak issue
Boost leak issue
I have been down on power and thought I had some leaks and found an injector o-ring sliced up. I fixed that, installed a MR DV(metal one) and tested again. After 12psi or so , air started leaking from the oil cap?? I had a MBC and ran the hoses from the wastegate to turbo together. What do you think is going on?? Thanks.
What do you mean "had" an MBC? Does that mean that you are no longer using the MBC. What hose(s) from WG to turbo? I am just trying to visualize your vacuum hose routing.
shouldn't mbc lines be disconnected coz they bleed boost? Check your PCV valve. I found the answer searching. I eliminated my PCV valve like buschur talked about in catch can thread he made.
I have a worse issue - I am leaking oil out of 02 housing and a brand new FP green when doing my test!
See my post a few down from yours for more details...

i disconnected the mbc and ran the two hoses that were attached to it together. the car drove fine afterwards, but i dont want to boost test again if air is coming thru the cap.
So, you disconnected the boost controller. How are you now controlling boost. Do you mean tht you connected the open ends of the two hoses that were connnected to your MBC? Is your factory BCS disabled as well?
