What octane would you run at 26psi?
OP has an VIII, whereas you have a IX. The IX is a couple PSI more forgiving than the VIII.
If you are going to use 100 octane LL, or 116 octane, or whatever at the strip then tailor a race gas map specifically for that octane level. Drive to the strip with a nearly empty tank of pumpgas. Drain out the remnant pump gas at the track. Put in 5 gallons of race gas. Upload the Race Gas map to your ECM and let her rip.
