Ouch

I think with the slicks and staging brake my rear end has held up well this year

Ouch!

Dan bought a totalled IX from a buddy of mine that had a perfectly good rear end in it. Have you asked if he would sell it to ya?

For some reason i thought this came as an entire assembly.. I'll check with Lucas today and find out...

Mike@AWD hooked me up too with another stock one .. I decide to go with a stock on because i can buy two of these things for the price of one of those carbonetic diff's.. I did some more research on them last night and it does appear that they are more designed for road race/ rally... I'll am planning on getting more information on these diff's in the next couple of days..

You know what they say, vwjeff, if you aren't breaking stuff you aren't going fast enough!!! You are clearly going fast enough!! The proof is in the pinion! Good luck with the build. I have been following some of the Buschur built monsters and trying to save my pennies for the day I can drop my car off. On my military pay I might be retired by the time I can get it done but I WILL get it done!

Damn, I was just thinking about this.....

So what's the 3 Amigo's drivetrain killing count this summer???

2 clutches
2 transmissions
1 T-case (kinda)
1 rear differential

That's not too bad for a bunch of 9 second cars considering the hundreds of passes and thousands of miles that have been put on them.

Hope ya get er fixed soon Jeff. You guys have any other track days planned this year? My car should be back up in a week or two and I would love to get out once more this year.

Like my rear end, my clutch has been in since just about the time I bought my car, so I knew it was gonna go soon to.

Here is a video JRod just put up
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/V...ood_191914.htm

Also I wanna say thanks to AWD Mike for the hook up on the new rear end

Yea, everything on that list has had more than its fair share of abuse over the last couple years. Its not like this stuff only had a couple passes and few hundred miles on it before it broke.
