I'm not referring to THIS thread at all actually. I'm talking about the ENTIRE neverending, tiresome, repeated 1000 times debate/conversation about X oil vs Y oil and the reasons why one is a higher quality than another. Put vinegar in your engine for all I care, just stop (the OP, for example) kicking a dead friggin horse and do some actual reading of the threads that have already asked and answered the SAME questions over and over and over and over again. NOTHING has changed! Also, there are many high quality oils and when it comes down to it, AFTER those brands have been identified (which by now they certainly have been), your choice of oil to run is a matter of preference. So... read FP's oil receommendations and the analysis studies and PICK one. Just stop making new repetitive threads and READ!

Old info, all oil manufactures had to conform. M1 also makes oils with better additive packages such as the HM and EP products.

The M1 HM is more then just good enough for my more than double factoy HP 130k mile stock block car.

I agree that Mobile 1 is probably fine and best for a stock-stockish engine, but once you get into a highly modded motor I agree that you need something better. The guy who built my Eclipse engine recommended Joe Gibbs products and I've read that Forced Performance link as well. 20W-50 in Amsoil, Joe Gibbs or Brad Penn is what you should use if you are pushing 400whp or up.
