It bolted right up, just had some bumper issues but forced it into place. I also hacked up my undertray.

That's crazy, mine even sticks out like an half inch under the bumper, and I have no undertray, it's bull lol. I'm gonna have to redo mine I guess.

They raised there price to $350 now. A week after I purchased mine.

i used the ams knock off for years with my buscher gt30r kit with no problems. i dented up the intercooler and came upon a ets 3.5 intercooler for cheep so i'm now running that. the ams knock off has slight fitment issues because the outlets are not 45 degrees like they are supose to. the wts is nicer and fits better but you really cant beat ebay intercooler for the $$$ and any cheep bar and plate intercooler with be better than the stock one.

ams knock off

ets 3.5"

The main problem is the internal fin design on the cheaper units. They use a straight through internal fin pack, instead of a staggered. The pressure drop will be less with a straight through design, but the efficiency will be way down. They also tend to heat soak very quickly.

If you have any questions regarding intercoolers let me know!

Thanks,

Michael

My Ebay interccoler does not heat soak, even after 20 Dyno pulls at 36 psi.
In the end of the tuning session, the car makes more power than in the begining of the event.

Even after 1/2 dozen street pulls, giving out rides to friends so they can see how the car pulls, we pull over, feel the pipes and Intercooler, and it is cold and healthy, in Florida hot weather.

My car went 11.8 at 116 plus on it on the small 9.8 stock 16G.

It made 451 whp on the Green with it.

Now the car makes over 525 whp on the red.

Still, this is the same Ebay Intercooler I have used for the last 3 years. Still brand new looking. Working like a champ. My car has 68K miles.

Sure, I will take a better brand Intercooler any time, who would not.

But to say that it is junk, is silly.

My 149.00 Ebay Intercooler has worked for me. Proven and tested to make power, look good, perform good. Just like any other good Intercooler.

And it came with a free LICP that looks just like the shinny Injen one. This cheap part also works good on my car, .

I am speaking from experience. Since I bolted this product on my car, it has worked as well or better, than more expensive units.

And don't call me cheap, because I also use a 600.00 dollar E-01 boost controller, a 1500.00 JDM Greedy Racing Titanium Exhaust, a 2000. Tilton Clutch, etc.

I have to agree. I made 570 awhp on this intercooler on my old 2.1L set up. I have had it for 3 years. On the new setup I ran an 11.4@125 on pump gas with this intercooler so it works just fine.

I don't want to turn this thread into one big arguement, I just want to state my opinions. I will use AMS as an example.
AMS copy. A COPY. AMS does the R&D only to have it copied and sold for cheap and in turn AMS loses. How would you feel if you spent all the time and money in R&D and have this happen to your business? I know of many companies that don't want to produce parts for this reason alone. So who's losing out? We do. AMS and all the other companies putting in all this money and time into R&D for two reasons, to make money (obviously) and to make top notch quality parts. The manufacturers who copy these parts only care about the money. They don't care if your car looks better or makes more power. Why would you want to support someone like this? At the same time, we're sending all our money out of the country when we need it here.
I don't care if a copy makes the same power, I refuse to buy them. This is MY opinion. End of rant.

John
