the red is not so much a higher boost turbo like everyone is complaing about...it does fine at 26psi and above...anybody buying any new turbo over stock and running less than 25psi is pointless anyway so people need to stop complaining and saying its a high boost turbo when they dont even have one
You're 100% right...the red isn't all that big compared to other turbos out there but compared to other turbos that make around the same amount of power on pump and a stockish motor, such as the BBK with faster than stock spool, ...the RED is laggier...

The RED does have the potential to make much more power than the BBK but I think this EVOM-er is asking as it pertains to pump gas applications. Which turbo will perform overall better on pump...it's not going to be the RED...

just add a little meth in the mixture with the red and you have an animal. on pump gas the red will have a lil lag but not rediculous. i no some ppl who run gt35r's on pump 93 lol. the red on 93 and meth is outta controll. and its even good on 93 with a mixture of 110 race fuel or 112 race fuel.

IMO no bbk numbers have came close to the red yet....only Kreionics car which is a great build....other than that i havent seen any numbers really close to the fpred cars..

i hate ppl comparing the bbk to the red....there NOTHING alike...compare it to the fpgreen not to a turbo that flows 60+lbs....just because there 2 new turbos dont mean there nothing alike...they each have there own prupose in the community...i think the Red is the all around ultimate street turbo PERIOD

and how do you think the FpRed well not perform better on pump?...thatts crazy cos im seeing great numbers on pump and 26psi.....anybody saying the red is not the perfect turbo is out of there mind...

i run strictly pump gas at 26psi....its as safe as can be if you have a good tuner...i trust my tuner and i know he did a great job where i can run 26psi safely....im also on the stock block on pump...as i said its really all in your tuner on how much boost you can run on pump...

I've seen numbers posted of RED's in the high 300's-mid 400's on pump. And I've seen BBK's with similar results recently posted. I think the point of comparison is not the two turbos...like you said, 49lbs to 61lbs...but how much power the turbo will make safely on pump...as is the intention of this OP's post. Sure, might as well through GREEN in the mix but in terms of an all out pump turbo...it's definitely not the RED. GREEN & BBK are much better options on pump...especially if you consider the turbos potential. At 26psi...the RED isn't quite alive yet...

26psi is good...yes, but what numbers are coming out of that 26psi?

But I agree with you on one thing...I think the RED is the all out, ultimate street turbo as well...

oh here we go

lol

come on matt be fair... we've tuned in warmer weather too, like calebs when it was 80... some when it was 60, some 30, some with the compressor when it was 90....

but, in regards to independant testing... yes, we are still waiting on some results from turbos we've shipped all over the word at present!!

anyway, this is a red thread... so im not going to polute it

the bbk has performed well...never said it hasnt.....and im sure it well continue to do so....both turbos either way are going to take over the evo community as theres so much talk about them both already...

i just dont understand why ppl keep saying the red is not a good pump gas turbo....i think its the perfect pump gas turbo...anybody buying a new turbo and running less than 25psi is pointless and a waste of $1500....26psi is just wakening the red
