car not starting now please help

hello,

i need help trying to figure out why the car wont start. the car shut off on me 2 days ago while driving still had power though. pulled over tried starting it twice, no go. i popped the hood everything looked good. i waited for about a minute then tried it again and it started. i made it home. then i didnt start it at all for the rest of the night. came out yesterday morning it started and ran. i went and got gas came out to my sisters and then shut it off. went to get back in it again and it will not start. so i waited til this morning and it still will not start. i checked the fuses for the engine (under hood and inside), those are all fine. i checked the fuse for the fuel pump that is fine, and i took off the back seat to listen for the fuel pump while my sister tried to start it. it sounded like the pump was working. all the electronics in the car are working and nothing seems dim. i looked at the volts on my tt and when it is in acc mode it is at 11.8 volts then went starting it drops down to 9.6 volts. any ideas of why it could not be starting. i have done a bunch of searching and talked to one of my buddies and still no result. i need to get back home so all help would be appreciated. thanks!!!

battery. 9.6v is not enough. it is holding voltage but there are not enough amps. jumper cables from another car to verify.

+1, not enough power will cause alot of sensors to not read correctly.

hey guys,

it was not the battery (i went a bought a new one). still no turn over so i went back over the symptons with creamo, we have deduced it to possibly being a fuel problem. go to check out the fp and found out that the wiring harness had started to melt to the fp itself. so now i had to order a new wire harness from mitsu (harness not available in reg stores). i hope and pray this part arrives tomorrow so i can get home. thanks for all your help guys.

Batteries will not kill the power to the car while driving...batteries job is pretty much to start the car. Alternator probably...any check engine lights?

make sure the dead cable is connected really tight... i just purchased a used 06 mr and the dealer left the dead cable a bit loose... i drove from orlando to tampa(about75mi) and it fluttered on and off at spped but it shut down once I slowed down about a mile from my house...

evoryder......no check engine lights. i looked at it again last night (still no go), i got a new install kit for the walbro and installed it. still no turn over. it is not giving the click click sound that you get when the alt is dead. it is trying to turn over but the fuel line is not pressurizing. all connectors are on tight.

Did you try installing one of the stock pumps that I gave you to rule out bad fuel pump?
