DC3 Oil Catch can

I am looking to buy a Saikou Michi catch can asap. Am I better off with two separate OCC catch cans or should I go for the actual DC3. I will be installing a mini battery kit and ETS IC piping at the same time. I would prefer the DC3 as I like the two cans being attached, but if the two separate cans make installation and draining much easier, I will go for that. So advice anyone?

I have two dc3 cans Less tubing was nice and it made the install easier since the one can is easier to work around the boost tube. As a side note the brackets they come with are aluminum so if you bend them they just snap luckily I could just tig it back together to make the 90 i wanted.

I have one can on the intake side of the car. I would like to put one on the intake manifold side as well....I like the BR can for the manifold side as you dont have to worry about draining it. I dont have to drain my intake side hardly ever...once every 3 months or so...

I have the dual mounted on the drivers side. I would just get the single if I had to do it over again. The catch can for the valve cover/intake pipe does not collect 1 drop of oil.

Those of you who have two, where exactly do you mount them? Same question for the guys with the dual chamber, underneath the battery on the drivers side? I really dont know where there is space.

I fit mine next to the boost solenoid on the intake.

The other is mounted up near where the ABS system would be.

Here is my setup that I just installed. Perrin catch can. 15k on the car before this setup and the intake tube was dirty by the vent but not by the air box.

Do you feel there is adequate space near the boost solenoid for a double can there?

It depends if you are still running a stock air box, and the type of IC piping you are running as to how much room you will have.

I made my own bracket and attached it to the trans.

Current setup: (not a DC3, but you get the idea):

Older pic, different can, just showing you the bracket:

You have to remove the brace to drain my setup but it works very well.

Ooo is that a blank polished plug cover?? Where did you get it? Thanks for the pic too, Im getting the feeling that putting a dual can below the BCS is not a big deal especially as I will already have the IC piping, battery, and air filter out when installing this.

Sorry Protostar1, I haven't had a chance to take some pics yet. However, I described the same area as a couple have mentioned. I found just enough room under the intake, near the BCS. I have both cans there. As ROGERV stated, the one can receives absolutely nothing. Draining access for me comes underneath, via the undertray. I have a slightly modified opening in the front center to accommodate my AGP Intercooler that allows me to reach up and through to drain the cans. I place a small "Dixie" cup underneath the can and let it drain. The mini battery kit and ETS Piping might allow you enough clearance on top to reach down and drain. Either way, get the set-up
