PS What up Kdash, been a long time since I've heard from you. How's your evo holding up?
I'm not going to get into an argument, but search a little bit (good luck) and you'll see exactly where I'm getting it. How will it mess up your car?

how often do you have to change the filter??

i know that you are to leave the valved side alone and hook the can line to the unvalved side off the cover

you can do the PCV side too but that's over kill, if you've got one catch can do the side I recommend, if you really feel it's necessary do the PCV side too. The advantage of having the catch can on the VC outlet is to eliminate any oil being sucked through to the turbine.

It will help keep oil out of your manifold and possibly off the backside of your valves (probably not due to gas being there, but you get the idea). I will agree that it's probably overkill though.

What's the point in catching the positive crank oil anyhow.

And a catch can is a catch can, I don't understand why someone would pay $100 for a forge unit unless they're only concern is looks.

My current catch can has yet to be drained and I've had it on there for almost a yr. Maybe 4 oz collected in that time.

I have no idea. I was just searching for evo parts one day and came across it. I couldn't believe it. Some guy bought it and never used it. No one else bid on it.

I didn't know the PCV was connected to the intake manifold ? ? ?

And just FYI the VC is loaded with oil, so what's this with keeping the valves oil free, I'm confused...

I'm talking about the backside of the valves that are in the intake ports going into the cylinder, possibly gunking up your seats lowering compression. Like I said, it may not be an issue at all due to gas being injected at the same time keeping them clean. Valves seals keep that oil in the valve cover.
