I have a PC680 and have had no problems. If I leave the car off for two weeks I need to jump it with my portable jumper, but other than that never stranded, never not started after 3-5 days, etc.

In the end that's what happens when the reserve is that low and made for a small motorcycle!!

WOW!! what an irony. Not long ago I had a new BMW F650GS that I purchased new. My battery went bad, way too bad, it actually leaked.
When I took my BMW motorcycle to the local BMW dealer(ironhorse mtorcycles) they did not covered my battery despite the motorcycle had only 3000 miles and was under warranty, the reason? I wasn't using the motorcycle enough and I ended having to pay for it.

Perhaps the issue here is that not using it often is actually destroying it.

It wouldn't take any charge. Kind of like it sets the charger in a error mode. The battery has been charging since yesterday at 2 amp rate according to IAperformance.

Yeah, my car has been down longer than that. What you xperienced is very normal, it becomes weak within a couple of weeks but if you let it go longer it tends to go bad.

We did disconnect the whole battery while doing the transmission and clutch work.

Absolutely. Please share! It will save me time and money. I was heading towards COSTCO to pick up a honda battery(yellow top optimas). Either that or the miatas, they are both tiny. I have only 6" of width on my car for a battery, the massive piping and huge inatke manifold takes the whole space.

Ill give you an early new years present.. you have a 99.5% chance this will work..

Grab a full size battery and jumper cables..

Take the jumper cables and attach to the full size battery..

Take the other side and attach to the oddysey by grabbing the terminals horizintally..

Take the battery charger and grab the oddysey terminals from the top in between the jumper cables..

set the charger on 15amp or whatever is the next step up from 2 amp..

It will bring the oddysey back up to a level where the charger can take over eventually and charge the oddysey without going into an error mode..

That error is caused because the charger you are using must see like 4 volts or something but the battery is so dead the charger defaults to a safe mode and wont charge..

let me know how it works.. I just did 3 oddyseys last week and they are all back and kicking in each car perfect.. Good luck!!

what if the shop sold a used battery or a returned, or maybe a defect battery?

LOL... no man. I appreciate the humor but the store is actually the $hit. They have absolutey everything imaginable on hand, you name kit they have it. It has good reputation.

I will take the battery and ask them for the warranty, they should have my info on the database.
