I kinda think its something else other than the cluth. But then again who knows. It could be the clutch slipping due to boost creep, it could be something else. Sorry i cant help.

Wow, I thought that would be impossible.

A buddy of mine told me, that my boost spikes may not be o2 housing or clutch related (I doubt any boost spike is clutch related) but it's possible that with the dump installed, I made the internal wastegate so inefficent it can't keep up with the flow. I'm not sure I agree because 1st - 4th bleed off boost just fine.

I doubt this is due to the JMFab dump alone. I'm untuned for it, and the weather has been very cold.

It also could be the clutch, but how can I build full boost with a slipping clutch, especialy a boost spike of 29psi? That's what confuses me.

No need to be sorry But I agree with your post 100%. I just don't know. It could be wastegate related which in turn is making the clutch slip.

Which makes me thinking, how am I supposed to throw another 50-60whp at this clutch if it slips with a little bit of creep.

And again, I don't think this boost issue it due to the dump, or should I say, I think tuning would be able to take care of the issue.

It's so hard to explain exactly what happens. I've gone out to try and duplicate what happens, and it rarley happens when I try it. It's not a consistant problem.

EDIT: I'm not sure I mentioned this already, but I noticed at part boost, 5-6psi and up (in any gear) my wastegate will slowley start to creep open, once I hit full boost, it cracks open as it should, but I do notice a very slight growl at part boost. Is that normal? Things like that make me think this is all wastegate or MBC related.

I know it's a 7 year old thread, but did you ever find a solution to your problem?

From reading, it seems like he may have been having random or consistent overboost and boost creep caused by the O2 dump being installed without a tune. His clutch was likely fine.
