Boost seem different after dowshifting

Just curious, but if i'm rolling in 4th, downshift to 3rd and hit pretty hard on the gas (while around 4k on the revs), the engine doesnt seem to push as hard, even after spooling up, until I shift into the next gear.

Any reason for this?

make sure you rev match. I'll notice that if I dont rev match properly. You should be able to blip the throttle and downshift at the same time to bring the RPMs up at the exact point. If you have exhaust, youll hear your car burp if you did it right.

It probably has to do with where you end up in the rpms when you downshift too. Remember you're making peak power relatively low in the powerband (what is it like 3,500rpms?) so if you downshift to around 3k you're already near peak and stomping it to redline is going to be mostly downhill aside from the initial power.

Get those heel and toe to work at the same time. Your problem will be gone.
