i know for a fact that if you ever have to machine 5 thousands off the bottom of the cosworth head (or the block for that matter), it wont clear stock pistons

i measured the cossie head volume it about 46.2 - 46.9 cc . i trying to figure out the right head gasket to get it to the 8.8/1 compression . if valve clearance is a issue i'l' just add a thicker gasket . but may i know what happened to yours? thx
