service engine light after car wash.

So it finally stopped raining here in Sacramento, CA. So I decided to wash the car earlier. Car is now finally clean. 2 hours later Im heading out to a friends house, I'm driving down the street and all of a sudden the Service engine light pops up. So head back home pop the hood and look around. Look underneath car for any leaks. Nothing. Everything looks fine. The car ran fine as well so i decide to disconnect battery to reset. Start it up again, no Service engine light. Drive around the block couple times and still no service engine light. The car has a few mods; intake, tbe, test pipe with non-fouler, fuel pump, and a mail in flash. Maybe something got wet in the engine because of the hood vent and threw the code? Im a bit paranoid and just curious to know if this has happened to anyone else?
