Relax chief...all in fun....
And yes I love Hondas...I had a 99 si and loved modding it. 400whp on a b16a2 is blasphemy imo...

@RedDragon
Trust me I'm well aware of this which is why I found it so hard to believe, even coming from them who I've always taken advice from in the past. I'm not new to driving manual transmission cars I just know the Evo is a whole other realm compared to my previous cars so I just wanted to make sure.
It dont matter what kind of car it is, you can downshift. N/A or turbo what difference
does it make.

I love my Honda.

Not only can you down shift, but in virginia its almost the fn law lol. you cant coast down hill, through an intersection, over railroad tracks (duh) etc. . . .in neutral.

Been said before, but I'll reiterate, there is nothing wrong with down shifting and rev matching. I always do it. Esp since it sounds sexy when you do.

1200+ posts and you don't know what rev matching is?

It's blipping the gas when downshifting to get the RPMs matched to where they should be for that gear at the speed you are going.

Would you believe the recommendations from a lawn mower modding enthusiast? Well, it's the same thing. All your doing is matching the disc with the pressure plate during a downshift, nothing special. Your Honda friends just enjoy the ricy irritating 120whp noise their 4"ID exhaust (with 2cm restrictor) makes during a downshift, they dont want ya to take it away from them
