Its pretty common to have rearend clunking when shifting hard/fast. There's a few threads about it. Get the bushing as said above and you'll be fixed.

My guess would be the drive shaft hitting the underside of the car or the exhaust. The bearings that support the drive shaft are mounted in rubber and if you are under the car and pull on the drive shaft you will find you can move it easily and a lot.
