I hard this exact exhaust on another Evo ( TRDHarrier ) and the sound was perfect to me.
Very stocklike, but with a touch more bass.
My goal is more humble than most. I want to get to 300whp.
I figure this exhaust, an intake, 264 cams, and some sort of EM tweak; like an AFC and BC combo,
or an ECU flash, should get me safely there.
hey man.
850.00 xede
598 exhaust. I have the TXS and love it.
This is a dyno plot with a B&B triflow unit. The Triflow is much more restrictive then the TXS.
There you go 300whp with out cams down pipe with stock cat

Now I need to go search around for a sound bite of the TurboXS exhaust.
My biggest problem around here is to try to stay as stock sounding as possible.
The local police are extremely considerate. I can't tell you how many times they have given me a courtesy
bumper to bumper inspection, to make sure everything is ship shape.
Nathan it wasn't you I was talking about, there are pictures of the other companies I was talking about on EVOM and it clear they use a 2.5" flange butted up to the 3" tubing.
Our catback bolts up to the stock cat. Our catback is 16.5 pounds, complete 304 CNC mandrel bent stainless and is normally $525.
I think they just went on sale though! YES! I am putting them on sale as of right now. The flanged cat back, whick is our SCCA Edition (named this because it is legal for SCCA use) is now the same price as our standard non flanged system. I'll knock $75 off and make them $450 if you mention that you saw this on Evolution M. This is with our standard muffler, the Magnaflow is still $20 extra.

FYI, getting a cat with a larger inlet/outlet does not improve flow characteristics unless the surface area of the cat's reactor core is increased as well.
The reactor core's surface area is what determine's a cat's ability to support XXX flow, XXX horsepower.
Conversely, if the cat is too big, it will not 'light'. That is, the cat won't reach the temperature at which it burns the unburnt fuel.
...excuse me if this info is pasted in the 17+ pages of this thread

There are sounds clips all over this forum for our exhaust. We don't have them on our site but do a search here, you'll find them.
