Unhappy Quiet Possibly Worst Day! what now?

so ive been sick all week..left my house for the first time in 2 days to go get tylenol tonight. the store is literally 5minutes away! driving in 5th gear on the HWY go to pass someone in the slow lane nothing crazy still in 5th and BOOM! lose power and luckly safely coast off into a parking lot after bottoming out.. sitting in shock freezing i get out to inspect. oil pouring out from underneath get the flash light right under the exhaust mani on the left side theres a 3 inch hole in the block(threw a rod)(only been tuned from completly stock at 36k miles for 3 or 4months at 26psi now on 43k miles..been down the track 2 times!) what causes this!?

i planned on building the block next month well now i have no block to build.. my friend has a complete 4g64 short block that he'll give me for $400 are these direct bolt ons? is it worth it to make a 2.1 with that? and im geussing my block isnt now considered a core deposite? what do i do with this block now?

**Im not asking how do i build my engine or what engine i should get just would like a few quick answers

the block you have now is garbage... cant use it for nothing... just get the 4g64 block and call ivey... i did my engine build with him and he is nothing but a great guy and he can give you pretty good pricing. or you could find a used 8 block on here and send it out to get built.

I have a 2.3 built short block sitting in my basement. It was my brothers old motor that was built by slow boy racing. He had problems with the freeze plugs popping out but I know the motor is still fine and runs good as well. He was sick of the freeze plug problems and just bought a whole new built motor. The motor has very very low miles on it and I would sell it for cheap if you want it.

My guess is big boost part throttle. Being in 5th gear and passing you probably were building a lot of boost, but at part throttle and it went lean and knocked.

btw.... that vid almost looks like a car with anti lag and the exhaust manifold exploded.

I have a stock Evo block in my garage. I was gonna build a stroker motor but now I'm going to Afghanistan so I'll worry about it when I get back. PM me a fair offer and we can work something out.

Sounds like a fueling issue indeed, popped FPR line or bad FP or FPR.

i was always running a little rich idle (14.9-15.3) WOT 11.9 climbing to 12.6?
i was having fuel issues i would get terrible gas mileage then the next week or 2 it would be fine. i did throwing high voltage codes in 02 sensor bank 2 a few times but they would always clear themselves out in a day... my wideband sensor went bad last week and i was waiting on being sent out the replacement.

it was probally these skunk2 cams thats why no one runs them

11.9 to 12.6 AFRs? Those seem a bit lean to me for a pump gas tune.

My pump gas AFRs are about 11-11.25 and my 110 conservative tune is 11.25-11.5.
