Whats wrong w/ the boost

I recently posted this up a couple fo days ago..but as i test drove it again..... I found that the boost would climb easily through the revs....but once you wide open throttle it the boost cuts off extremely early is a very big fuel cut off.

Would running 93 octane be a problem on this car?

I recently spoke to someone "evolution imports"....and he told em i could buy a computer from him..but $3000 dollars sounds kinda a bit too much..but he stated that it would help in running 93 octane fuel....

Are we talking about 93 by US standards or European standards.

European octane rating is just RON

US octane rating is (RON+MON)/2

MON is a much harsher test of the fuel's ability to withstand knocking, consequently, 93 in the US is equivalent to ~98 in Europe.

If I remember rightly from another thread, you are running 1.2-1.3bar RedEvo6, so US 93 should be fine, I think.

It's just a little odd w/ what the vendor is telling me. But the only thing I forgot to mention is that when I dont full throttle it, just when i gradually speed up or whatever, the car feeels real smooth and doesnt get teh real aburpt fuel cut-off.

are you sure that you're having fuel cuts ...
It may be a wastegate problem ....

PS : if you are in Monte Carlo perhaps we could met (with claudius and maxi too ...)

Good point, your wastegate might not be holding the boost.
