i am trying to install a oil feed line now and it keeps leaking, it had 2 copper gaskets (1 on each side of the banjo bolt) but everytime i tighten them down and start it up it is leaking like hell.
Any one know if there is only 1 copper crush gasket or 2 to install on the oil feed line?

 

There should be a copper washer between the head on the bolt/line and between the line and the head itself. Try using some teflon tape too. Just don't tape over the hole

 

get 2 new copper washers and forget the tef tape bad idea.

 

Yeah, you're doing it right. 1 on each side. You didn't tq the heck outta that thing did you? I think it only tq's to like 23 ft/lbs of something really light like that.

 

check the washers and make sure they arent broken and make sre you have one on both sides of the feed line... and dont tighten it down to much just snug... are you positive its coming from that bolt

 

Brand new copper washers gaskets, first time I think I over torqued it, the second time I left it snug and 1/8 turn. It leaked, tried to torque it a little more and the same thing it leaked. I removed the gasket from the bottom of the line in between the turbo and the line and kept the one on top. Now it’s not leaking. I know I removed 2

 

how the **** do people over torque things?

 

I over torqued mine and broke the bolt since my torque wrench was cheap and inaccurate. You don't have to over torque the bolt, just make it firm with a socket.

 

..never stripped a nut or snapped a bolt?
