Anyone else have an ebay exhaust??

Me and my brother just installed an ebay system, $225 shipped to my door. I have a megan system already, but we were curious to see how well the ebay system performed and all I can say is WOOOOOW. Not what you would expect, it performs just as well as the megan and about half the price. Welds look clean and strong too.

Anyone else have this? Any problems? Im thinking I might leave it on...

Exhaust are all just metal tubing. Brand names exhaust systems have RnD to it so it costs more. I wouldn't mind getting an HKS Ti but I'm cheap so I got the ebay exhaust system and it performs great for me. Except when I stopped by the hwy shoulder and a trooper came behind me. He said my exhaust sound like a HD. I'm like, "ok". Got warning for it

Ebay - Another reason name brand companies should lower their price.

totally! I dont usually mess around with ebay "performance" parts, but I was completely surprised at how it performed. I think I'll still pay for name brand though

Out of curiosity, does anyone have an ID measurement on the piping? I'm definitely in to hear some sound clips as well . Can't be THAT bad... right?

I had one on my car for about 6 months and the muffler started rattling really bad at idle. It also gets dull and discolored very quickly if there is snow where you live, and it never quiet fit right. I ended up getting a really good deal on a Turbo XS which Im very happy with.

Just make sure you get one from a reputable seller. Some list them to fit IXs even though the DP are meant for the non-ACD years. Speaking from experience.

Megan, DME, K Sport, etc all the way to eBay goods are Made in China. If they say Taiwan, oftentimes it's from China by way of Taiwan. Nothing wrong with it. I've got an ebay turbo manifold that has been on the car for three years now. Still works fine. I do strongly recommend to inspect the welds and have them reinforced if you do happen to get a no-name manifold. Exhausts... as one of the guys here said, it's kinda hard to screw up an exhaust. Intercoolers... don't believe the hype. Those Chinese intercoolers work just fine. I've got both ARC and Chinese ones, and the only diff is in the price. Silicone piping and other silicone pieces... Chinese are just as good.

In summary, don't cheap out on engine internals, fueling pieces, electronics, and turbos. No name stuff is good for the rest.
