really how good is the 16g turbo. what is the max hp of it

 

Depends on the fuel, peak boost level, the supporting mods, and as, Evokid511, says....The Tune.. The IX is the best stock turbo.

 

I got 300 on a dynapak with my mods on stock turbo for 91.

with a ix stock turbo you can get over 400 with e85, supporting mods and a great tune!

 

so should i swap out my evo 8 turbo for an evo 9turbo

 

^ yes. it is the cheapest swap you can do and you will see great improvements. also make sure you have the supporting mods to go with it. a stainless o2 housing, ported stock manifold. these will really open up the flow and be a good street set-up. after this is done save up and get more supporting mods such as a good fmic and of course a TUNE
