Help with rattle. Not Throw out bearing

I have done many searches and cant seem to find an answer. I get a rattle under my car when at idle or in gear, clutch in or out. I have checked underneath to see if i can find anything that rattles. That came up empty. Anyone think its possible that the cat could be making noise? It has a buschur exhaust. Any help would be appreciated.

if you have a spark plug fouler for a cel fix check that it could be rubbing against the car....it happened to me and this could very well be your problem

I had the same issue when i first got my evo.

On your driveshaft going into your transfercase there is a metal sleeve. It may have come loose.

I took a big flathead at the time and pryed/ripped it off. Just make sure this is the issue before you take my advice and start ripping pieces from your car.

I at the time and now dont need the sleeve on there.

I just found a rattle similar to what you are describing. it was my intercooler hitting my crash bar. I checked everything and never thought this was the problem til I slammed my door shut and heard it one day. Bingo. Rattle gone

Yea, I got a rattle somewhere too. Most likely something hitting and not a major problem. happens every now and then.
