What boost controller are you using ?

It's wastegate flutter, not surge.

 

So how do i fix my problem ?
By changing to a stiffer wastegate spring ?
I'm using a TurboSmart Pro-Gate 50 wastegate with 1bar spring ...

 

The spring doesn't have too much effect on it, it's how the wastegate is controlled that does. MBC's especially in cold weather will flutter bad, as will EBC's and stock ecu controlled boost solenoids if the wastegate duty cycle isn't tuned to match the correction.

 

It's the BOV I run an HKS SSQ and it only does it on the highway under partial throttle because the volume of air moving past it. It won't "sound cool" but putting the stock DV on will fix it. Good luck.

 

I think that you mean BOV flutter, and not WG flutter.

 

No, if by going from the OP's clip it can't be as diesels don't run BOV's. There are 2 things it could be...compressor surge due to hitting the surge line (which is probably the case for the diesel truck video so I should have clarified my answer), or wastegate flutter which was what the OP had. If you read his response he even said that his boost controller was the issue, and you don't normally get compressor surge at full throttle unless you hit the surge line. Easiest way to see if it's wastegate oriented is to watch the boost gauge...if it oscillates, then it's caused by that.

BOV flutter is what you experience when letting off the throttle slowly, and you hear the compressor start to chatter as the air backs up against the compressor...2 totally different things.

Good try though, do a little more homework and you'll be good.

 

The problem is now i don't know whether its my BOV flutter or its my boost controller's fault or my wastegate problem ... It only happen when i part throttle my car ... full throttle no problem ...

 

like Slo_crx1 said, 2 totally different things.I have turbosmart mbc.watch your boost gauge mine was oscillating on part throttle at 15 psi.

 

i have kinda the same prob too... but when like less then half throttle it does that. i dotn have a boost controll just turbosmart bov full 3in ex and intake.. and when ii get on it it breaks up( i am pretty sure thATS BC it needs tuned) but sometimes it feels like the fuel cuts out completely and really falls on its face.. could it have anything to do with my test pipe. i might even have the o2 sensors mixed up
