O2 Housing

Will getting an O2 housing cause boost creep? Should I stick to stock or get one? Im not sure on which brand to go with yet...Any suggestions? Thanks!

A properly designed housing will not creep. The Megan is my favorite on the market; under $100 and proven very effective. I personally have Buschur's which is just a ceramic coated Megan (without the Megan badge of course).

This has been talked about countless times. Most ebay o2 housings do just fine, just make sure the wastegate passage is ported enough and isn't just a tiny hole. Could always go with one of the companies making external dumped o2 housings also! JMF, EPM, MAP performance. Look around!

Run an open hotside for a quick ride and see what a stock turbo can really do. Kidding, that can melt your AC. But in any respect, that would be the ideal environment for turbine efficiency. When raising boost over stock the stock O2 blocks flow. When you block flow the WG doesnt work correctly and the boost will "creep" (even though "turbine creep" means something totally different).

Titek v2...Megan continuously causes boost creep unless you port the hole. I sold mine after seeing the craftsmenship. Not bad for $100 but I'd rather spend $200 on a Titek which is night and day in quality.

Is it better to use a factory turbine-to-O2 housing gasket or the aftermarket one they give you?

Use a stock one. The aftermarket ones, especially Megan, tend to be thin and questionable, but that's just me.
