Hypertune Intake Manifold + 77mm TB

I'm trying to get some feedback from some people who have this or have had this installed on their car. From my understanding the tb does NOT come with an idle stepper, which will cause it to stall unless it is rev'd for about 5 minutes and then it's fine. Looking at someone with some feedback on this intake. It looks good physically and the dyno numbers and spooling look great as well. But concerned about the idling issues. Thanks

Pretty sure there is a provision for an external idle motor.

Depends on how soon you are looking. Mike@awd said it takes about 2 weeks to ship. Not sure if they have them already made or not but 2 weeks isn't too long.

You can fit the stock IAC to the Hypertune manifold, I'm using that myself.
And no, you don't have to rev it for 5min, just set the idle up a bit (1200rpm) and it will idle find by it self after just a few seconds, at lest mine does.

Anyone who has any questions about the Hypertune TB, please PM me. I am willing to offer a VERY resonable incentive to anyone willing to spend 15 minuites taking some measurements of their factory TB cable setup for me.

Also, I am hoping TedB will have some more info in the next day or so. If his measurements match up with what I have been able to find out so far, it is his car that has the problem. NOT my TB. I'm not going to elaborate on this any more untill Ted has a chance to get back to me with more info.

In the mean time, as I said if you are interested in purchasing a manifold and TB and have a spare few minuites (and a ruler) please PM me.

Functionally, the Hypertune TB works just fine. The issue I am having is that the travel of my throttle cable is insufficient to rotate the TB's shaft through its full range of motion. At the present, we are trying to determine if it is caused by the Hypertune TBs larger throttle wheel, or if there is something unusual about the throttle cable travel on my car.

Although I am not interested in purchasing a T/B from you I could aid in taking measurments of my throttle cable and or what ever other info that you need. P.M. me where you need to measure.

FYI, I don't think your PM option is enabled because I couldn't do it when I tried

Just stumbled on this old thread while searching google and wanted to say i have had nothing but VERY good experiences with all the Hypertune parts. In particular the intake manifolds for the EVO and other 4g63 powered cars is one of my personal favorites as it really helps the engine breath WAY more efficiently. While tuning a 4g63 or 64 with a hypertune intake you'll notice the engine is far more efficient from ~3500RPM up and will take way more fuel at the same boost level compared to a stock intake manifold.
My personal favorite is the Hypertune Intake manifold with 77mm throttle body, actually have my eye on one for my personal VR4 sure would be a nice upgrade for the old girl, something i've been meaning to do for a long time now actually just can't driving it long enough to put new parts on.
