Yes a dsm but evo heads are leaps and bounds better than 1g heads.

not really...same exhaust, same combustion chamber, same valve..I haven't seen a leap or a bound better. Maybe for street application the EVO head is way better, but it is really close to the 2G head.

Huumm so what's the verdict here. I was thinking of doing some work to my head as far as porting goes. But i don't have anyone in my area that i would trust to do any sort for machining on my head. I guess you won't get any sort of power difference by replacing the valves springs, valves and retainers correct?? just helps with reliability i assume?

Imho they are as far as core shift and cooling.

A GOOD valve job can yeild some minor power gains.

For the amount that head work would cost there is many more effective ways to raise power output.
