Thumbs up All my tranny noise gone:)

Well I had all my fluids changed yesterday at Road Race Performace.

I had trans, diff and transfercase done. All I have to say is WOW! The car is quieter, smoother and the shifter is easier to use.

I use to have that nasty clanking sound from the trans when the car was at idle and now it but all gone, including the de-accel noise below 2,500rpm.

When is used to sit at idle and hit the gas I would always here noise from the trans before I would hear the true sound of the motor. Now all I hear MOTOR.

I used Redline MT90 for the trans and non-shockproof 75w90 for everything else. The guys at RRM have great service for a good price. $145.00 with oil. I know your gonna say 100.00 labor is alot and it only takes an hour or so to do but when you have no time like myself I dont mind spending the extra money and having someonne else do it.

was it a service package or did you just ask them to do each one separately?

Hi,

I changed my tranny to MT90 and NEO RHD for the transfer case and rear diff at ~3500 miles.

Definitely improved shifting feel and quieted tranny down somewhat. I still have decel noise, esp in 3rd/4th gear between 4k rpm and 5k rpm, but it's not as bad.

I am changing my engine oil again (Mobil 1 10w/30) at ~7k miles, then at the next change at ~10k miles I will do the tranny, transfer case, and rear diff one more time.

Take care,

Yes you want RRE Road Race Engineering.

Road Race Motorsports is however right across the way.

I've changed my tranny fluid twice now - did the firs with my first oil change and the second tranny fluid change with my 2nd oil change. Both really made a difference. I've got about 14k on my car now and 7k since the ladt tranny fluid change and my tranny is great; the changes have eliminated any noise I was having.

This next change will be tranny + all the diffs.
