I prefer the Ikea model instead. You have to built it yourself but its worth it.

JP. I've heard bad things about that unit.

I looked into this, and everything I read said it pretty much sucks. Definitely would be cool to have a sequential shifter, but imo the dog box needs to go with it.

I know this is a bit of a older post but since I only get to drive my EVO a couple times a year it took me a bit befor I could figure things out. I put the Ikeyashifter into a '03 EVO 8 and had nothing but problems with it missing 3rd and once in a while it would get stuck between gears. Bad times in traffic. But this being said, last month I got a chance to play with it again. The shifter came with a set of three fork locators that had signifigantly less tension than the stock units. I removed these and reinstalled the OEM locators and that fixed all of the issues I was having with the shifter. I think the three that came with the shifter might only be for if you have a dog box which I belive is why I had issues with them. I tell you it has been more then worth it to install though! Also, just as a side note, the EVO 8 wins over a fire hydrant! Hope some one finds this info useful.

The locators are under the transmission mount on the left side of the car. I had to remove the front under-tray. I then put a jack under the front engine mount and removed the brace. Then remove the left transmission mount bolts and lower the engine down so you can pull out the transmission mount. there are three bolts about 19mm in size. those are the locators. Its a hollowed bolt with a spring and a steal bearing inside that sets into indention's in the fork shafts. Hope that helps.
