difference between 3/4 gear in evo 8 and 9

difference between 3/4 gear in evo 8 and 9

i was reading a thread and people were talking about getting 3/4 gear from an evo 8 put into their evo 9. i have had both cars but i cant seems to tell the difference in the gearing. basically i cant remember how the evo 8 felt. so can someone explain the difference for me please.

yes, i tried a search and have been coming up empty.

very very great info. My question is, what would be best for a combination of both road racing and drag racing. In other words whats the best way to stay in 4th going through the traps while also having a usable 4th gear for road racing.
