Straight pipe exhaust all the way
I noticed that P & L motorsports makes a complete 3inch straight pipe exhaust for the wrx's and sti's http://www.pandlmotorsports.com/osCo...roducts_id=451
i was just wondering are there any companies that make something similar to that for evo 9's? otherwise i was thinking of having a friend weld me one or i might go with the stock exhaust and a cut out..

i would say search, but every major company makes one and i'm pretty sure that there were alot of tests and the lack of a muffler didn't matter

Buschur offers one, but you need to specify when you're ordering the TBE that you want a test pipe and muffler delete.
It sounds really cool, but if it's a daily driver, defiantly a bad idea. Even if the car isn't a daily but soes see frequent street time, still not a good idea. I took the muffler off my Buschur TBE on my old Evo and drove around for maybe 10 minutes. Yeah, it sounded DAMN cool, but it was too loud, even for me
