Headgasket questions

So I just got a Cosworth head gasket and some arp headstuds and I was wondering if you have to resurface your block after pulling the head?

+1 on not having to check the block, but I would still check the head. You dont loose anything checking it since you already have it off, just use a straight edge and a fueller gauge.
