05' RS "Service Engine Soon" Light Flashing When Boost Spikes, Not Solid.
Long time reader, first time poster
So, I have noticed that under full throttle in certain situations, when the boost spikes, i get the "service engine soon" light flash a few times and then stay off. my car is stock except a downpipe and exhaust. The ECU was flashed by English Racing, called and emailed them but got no answer. Doesn't feel like boost cut because it is not harsh, sounds normal. I am worried about detonation or knock. I also don't want to take it to the dealer for fear of re-flash to stock. This happens a few times a week when I get on the throttle and bothers me to no end.
Any ideas? Thanks!

thanks! i found the information i was looking for. i didn't know the technical term for the mod.
i assume some knock is normal. the CEL is flashing 3 times slowly, so depending on how they flashed it, it may not be a big deal? you would think english racing would have called back if they wanted my money for a re-tune. oh well...
i may try a small race fuel mix and see what happens...
anyone had a similar experience they fixed without a re-tune? i understand finding the sweet spot is hard without proper tuning.
