Why do you need a headgasket?

Don't replace it unless it is blown.

When installing arp headstuds. Some people use the 1x1 method but I'm not so sure about it.

why do you need to replace the head studs? - they are pretty strong... a lot stronger then people give them credit for.

KevinD, so far you have not failed to amaze me with your prices. I really wish I would have been told about you a long time ago. I have over paid on so many things to get installed on past projects. If I am unable to do my own work, I will call you. Again I will be back home in Jan, so Feb I will be ready for the tune.

^ we actually went over prices last night and raised some of them because the overhead and credit card fees (accepting credit cards takes a HUGE % of profit). cams unfortunately went up a little. i'm still honoring quoted prices with appointments though, and you fall in that catagory

just curious how a 1-3% card rate plus interchange can be a huge percentage?

So can stock headstuds hold 500 to 550whp on a stock block? Probably going to run PTE 5857 turbo.

If it's doable then I'm not changing the headstuds. Please let me know.

I would replace the headstuds. Cheap insurance. There are a lot of tuners that will not even tune your car with that kind of turbo and the lack of headstuds. They are only ~$100. Would be silly not to do it.
