Is there any compatibility issues for a 5spd from an 03 evo 8 to be installed in an ix mr? I have the chance to buy one that I'd be sending to shep for a rebuild and I just want to make sure that if I get it I won't have any issues with it being installed versus a factory new 5spd from Shep.

 

I just bought a street/strip build Evo VIII transmission with IX 1st gear from shep. Should be direct bolt on to my IX. I'll be installing it this weekend.

Just remember the VIII has smaller 1st gear, same 2nd gear and taller 3rd 4th 5th gears than an evo IX 5speed.

 

That looks like gold to me right there, wish I had one :-)
