This guy is wired on redbull and coffee or something

Nein, Turco. The rod itself does not rotate. The actuator rod has external threads cut on the end of it. A turnbuckle with internally cut threads rotates on the end of the actuator rod. But, the rod itself does not rotate.

Uhm dude, the slot is there to put a wrench on and adjust the rod if needed, I just fixed it as per the instructions of turning the rod...

Never had experience with the evo wga. But on the srt-4 you could turn the wga arm slightly to fit it. I'm not saying rotate it completely around, but sometimes it needs to be adjusted slightly.

From the picture it looks like extending the turnbuckle is not going to change the angle.

So did you fix it by slightly rotating the arm in respect to the actuator?

I had to do the same with my FPGreen, not rotate it but just angle it differently. Also had to use pliers to pull the arm onto the turbo. I was told thats normal (preload)

Caution should be exercised to not turn, twist, or force the threaded actuator rod emerging from the wastegate cannister. Inside the cannister the actuator rod is affixed to a delicate diaphragm. Hold the rod stationary while slackening the locknut and screwing the extension piece(turnbuckle) on or off the actuator rod as required. Axial movement of the actuator rod however, is perfectly O.K., as this is what it was designed for.
