Yes it was a rod bolt that failed on ours. It was my fault But I can't complain. That thing had some real abuse.

What turbo and cam setup will you use
STM pretty much is taking another stab at it. All work and everything is done by STM. Just a different car and driver. Emery is a really good friend of mine so we are keeping it in house i guess you could say.

I am running a FP RED with 80mm housing and Kelford 272.

It has about 75000 miles.

A lot of Rs's have AC...none have the white door handles though. ~?

Em, yes you learned a lot since then but you also did it on a MUCH more capable turbo. Getting it to go nines with a RED is race car stuff with built motors.

Added: Im not hating in any way, just saying its not easy. I wish you and the owner the best of luck and it will be sweet once all the hard work pays off!

Now, as cool as it is to push your car to those limits, is it not risky to do it to a customer car? Not to sound like an ***. But I’ve always thought that pushing a stock block car that far would be waking on a thin line……I wish you guys all the best in your quest for the 9’s.

Are you the current record holder of a stock block E.T??

STM is currently the record holder with an impressive 10.04@138mph.

As for the risks, I am sure the customer is fully aware of the risks of pushing the stock block past the norm. If that is the customers wish then a good shop, like STM, will do everything they can to aid in the customers goal.

I fully agree. Amazing record that still holds to this day. They say they will beat it easy (on a Red no less) which I think is gonna be challenging.

I do know all the risks. And I have paid for this build with what i have made overseas on deployments. As for RS's having AC they came in option called urban jungle or something like that. But like i said before the old owner painted the handles and mirrors.

Ryu-Im chasing your record and theirs. lol. Hopefully i can get it at some point.

I have full confidence in STM.

This car busted out its 10.7 with an easy 1.6 60 ft on slicks...I'm sure with the weight reduction now and better fuel & more power this thing will be DEEP into the 10s...Good Luck to Cessna & the STM crew...
