I may have an Exhaust Leak

I just installed a ultimate racing high flow 3 inch cat mated to my B&B turbo-back and I think I may have a leak. At full throttle I hear a kinda whirring noise from something (not turbo). It kinda sounds like the turbo but not as high pitched (If this makes any sense please help). Could the cat have cleared up the exhaust so much I can hear my RMR intake more or is it the exhaust ifself making that noise?

Also my car putting out some weird smell. I thought it could be the cat breaking in (which it could) but I just wanted to make sure.

My idle is fine w/o any noises and my car seems to pull alot harder to redline with the new cat. Can someone tell me how to properly diagnos an exhaust leak? Thanks

Hooptie

What gasket are you using for your downpipe?

I'm using the gasket provided by B&B. BTW it isn't the crappy copper ones.

Hooptie - I just got my B&B turboback with a UR test pipe also.
I did the install this week and I did not get a gasket for the downpipe. So I called B&B and they said that the downpipe doesn't come with a gasket, but to just use the stock one. I am wondering what you are using for a gasket then?

Whoops, I though you meant gasket for DP to the cat. For that I used the ones provide for the mid pipe (for the B&B). For the DP to the turbo I used the stock one.
